What 124 lbs looks like

OK, I'm going to be brave here and post a photo showing my current look (124 lbs, 5'6" tall). I think the arms & legs are OK, size-wise (although a little toning will definitely help!), but the belly is still WAAAAY too thick. That's what I'm hoping to get rid of by accomplishing my weight loss and fitness goals.

(I am very nervous about posting this, so no flames or mean comments, please.)

You know the only reason why losers like me ever get lucky? Because beautiful women like yourself have been brainwashed into believing your bodies are somehow "imperfect." (Yeah, like we guys are all so svelte.) You rate very high on the Hubba-Hubba Scale right now, ma'am. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I was dubious when you announced you were trying to lose weight, but each one of us has to decide what makes us look and feel good. Now that I've finally made time to check out your blog, I'm really impressed (except for your excitement over frozen veggies!). Keep it up; you're doing great! Oh, and bear in mind that Cameron Diaz probably has a personal trainer! P.S. What are you doing about popcorn at movies?!

Ha, funny that you ask about popcorn, Pickski. I used to never like it because of the texture. (Yum, Styrofoam!)

But lately, I've started eating it -- not at the movies, though. I've discovered the mini-bags of microwave popcorn that have just 100 calories each.

Meanwhile, my only vice while watching movies is a glass of wine when I'm at the Belcourt or another theater that serves it.
It's probably a good thing that I don't live in Austin,Texas, though. It'd be hard to resist pizza, hot sandwiches, fries, and the other hearty eats that they serve at the Alamo Drafthouse theater!

Van,
Looks like you are doing everything right, including dressing up to the nines! Your body is fab, and your smile is gorgeous. I wish I knew what your 185 max weight look was like. You should be VERY proud! My husband Keith was also impressed with your look, but offers: "sit-ups & abs exercises" if you want to work on your middle. That's what I need to do too.
